Friends of Roxton CE Academy
Welcome to Friends of Roxton. We’re a small committee consisting of a Chair, Treasurer & Secretary, supported by a wider network of volunteers.
Our aim is to develop effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school but most importantly to provide engaging activities or provide facilities/equipment to support the school and advanced the education of pupils.
What do we do?
- Raise funds to enhance the learning for all children – for example in 2020 we paid for Accelerated Reader
- Run events for example school discos, movie nights and the Christmas Fayre
- Provide support for school trips
- Provide refreshments at school events
We always welcome new members who wish to get involved whether that’s through volunteering to help run an event, contacting local businesses for donations or providing a service or goods which are beneficial to the children and school.
We are always looking for new ideas on what we can do to raise money and welcome any suggestions you may have.
Our AGM’s are usually held towards the end of September, by attending you can hear what we’ve been up to, ideas for the new school year and vote in the committee. We welcome all who would like to attend.
