Values are very important to our learning at Roxton. We believe they are important to display at all times and not just at school.
Our school values are;
We focus on each for a term, throughout the school, especially in our worship, over the course of our 2-year rolling curriculum. We believe this helps the children understand the true meaning of each value, helping them become embedded in our school culture. We award regular value awards as part of our weekly celebration assembly to reward the children displaying them.
These are chosen by teachers to children who display these values consistently and who can be relied upon to be excellent role models to their peers.
We will be developing the role of the values ambassadors, they will be involved in naming children who they see demonstrating our values and they will be rewarded as part of our termly celebration assemblies with Reverend Graham.
Our Value for Spring term has been Respect. We are very proud of all the children who were nominated by our Values Ambassadors for displaying behaviour that demonstrates respect. We celebrated them during our Easter Service. Well done to you all.
Emily was chosen as the overall Values Champion for this term, she looks after everyone at school but has gone out of her way to look after our nursery children during lunchtimes. Thank you Emily
Next term our value is Belief.
