Roxton is a fully inclusive school, embracing the fact that every child is different. Therefore, we make every effort to meet the needs of any child, regardless of aptitude, ability or special need. We firmly believe that all children have the potential to achieve their goals and support this in a friendly and happy manner.
Children experiencing learning difficulties are initially identified by their class teachers. Parents will be fully consulted if the school has any concerns about a child’s progress and possible steps that can be taken will be discussed.
The role of the School’s SENDCO is to work with children, staff and parents or carers to support and meet the needs of children experiencing difficulties in their learning.
If you have a concern, or would just like to chat to someone regarding your child's needs, please first speak with the class teacher and then the Special Educational Needs and Disability Assistant, Mrs Kate Pallant.
Appointments can be made via the school office by calling 01234 870230, emailing office@roxton.school or Class DoJo
At Roxton, it is part of school life to be part of a group outside everyday classroom learning. Each group is reviewed every half term and you will be notified via dojo if your child is a part of a group.
Some example of groups are:
